Hi @cyndeep0622,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP printer displays a "No paper" error despite having paper loaded, it is often caused by issues with paper settings, sensors, or the paper tray itself. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Paper Loading and Quality

  • Ensure paper is loaded correctly in the tray. Make sure the paper is fully inserted and aligned properly with the guides.
  • Use the correct paper type. Avoid using paper that is too thick, curled, or damp. Standard A4 or Letter-sized paper usually works best.
  • Do not overfill the paper tray; leave some room to avoid jams.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again to see if the error persists.

Check Paper Tray and Rollers

  • Remove the paper tray and inspect for any obstructions (paper scraps or debris).
  • Clean the paper feed rollers using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. If the rollers are dirty, they may not pick up paper properly.
  • Ensure the tray is not damaged and is seated correctly in the printer.

Check the Paper Settings

  • On your computer, go to the print settings and verify that the selected paper size and type match what’s loaded in the tray.
  • On the printer’s control panel, confirm the same paper settings.

Update Printer Firmware/Drivers

  • Visit the HP support site and check for any firmware updates for your printer.
  • Make sure your printer driver is up to date on your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
