I'm getting the error code event code 62.80.A0 and unable to clear it or print anything. I've taken the HP cartridges out and reset the printer and the error still won't go away. Any idea? Of course this happened over the weekend, and my service account also expired over the weekend and I can't get support now from HP....

Hi @ktaheri,
I understand you're seeing the error Event Code 62.80.A0 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, and it's preventing you from printing, even after resetting and removing the cartridges. No worries, let’s go through a few steps to get this resolved:
1. Power Reset (Hard Reset)
With the printer turned ON, unplug the power cord from the back.
Unplug it from the wall outlet as well.
Wait for 60 seconds.
Plug it back into a direct wall socket (avoid surge protectors).
Turn the printer ON and check if the error clears.
2. Remove and Reseat Ink Cartridges
Open the ink access door and gently remove all cartridges.
Check for any ink spills, paper debris, or damaged contacts.
Clean the copper contacts on each cartridge and inside the carriage using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
Let it dry, then reinstall the cartridges firmly.
3. Check for Paper or Carriage Obstructions
Open the rear access and front paper path.
Look for small bits of paper, labels, or obstructions around the carriage.
Make sure the print carriage can slide freely left to right.
4. Printer Firmware Update (if the error clears temporarily)
On your computer, open the HP Smart app → Printer Settings → Advanced Settings (EWS).
Go to Printer Updates and install any available firmware update.
I hope this helps.
