Hi @lowrid5399,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is performing printer maintenance every time you boot it up, it could be due to a few reasons. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot this issue.

  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that there are no settings enabled for automatic maintenance. You can check this in the printer's settings menu.
  • Firmware Update: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve unexpected behavior. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
  • Power Cycle: Try performing a power cycle. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the wall, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Errors: Look for any error messages on the printer's display. If there are any errors, addressing them might resolve the maintenance cycle issue.
  • Print Quality Diagnostic: Run a print quality diagnostic to see if there are any issues with the cartridges or printheads that might trigger maintenance routines.
  • Factory Reset: If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset of the printer. Note that this will erase all custom settings, so make sure to note any important configurations before proceeding.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
