@Comack8124, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've forgotten your HP printer PIN and no longer have access to the registered email account, you can try the following steps to reset it:

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer. This should reset the printer to its default settings.

Access Printer Settings:

  • Navigate to the printer's control panel.
  • Go to the Security or Settings tab.
  • Look for options related to Admin Security or PIN Setup.
  • Follow the prompts to reset or change the PIN.

And, If you've forgotten your HP Smart app PIN (used for features like HP+ or account login) and no longer have access to the registered email, here's what you can do:

Option 1: Try Common PINs (if applicable)

If it's a printer access PIN or Wi-Fi Direct PIN, check:

  • Printer label (sometimes printed under or behind the printer).
  • Default PIN like 12345678 for Wi-Fi Direct.
  • The printer touchscreen or web interface might show the PIN or let you reset it.

Option 2: Reset HP Account Without Email Access

If it’s your HP account that you’ve lost access to:

1. Go to https://www.hpsmart.com or https://account.hp.com

  • Try logging in.
  • Click “Forgot password?” – you'll be prompted to reset via email.

Option 3: Factory Reset Your Printer (if linked to old HP Account)

If your printer is locked to an old HP account (via HP+) and you can't access it:

  1. Factory Reset Your Printer:
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults (menu names may vary).
    • If there’s no screen, press and hold the Cancel + Wireless buttons until the power light blinks.
  2. Reconnect the printer to HP Smart using a new HP account (new email).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
