had printer in storage for 20 years, NEVER used...Cartridge expired gave me an error 0xc18a3e02...

Got the printer 20years ago for a job I was going to working, took a different job so put printer in storage... never opened box till now...everything worked until I added the ink cartridges they were expired.  Got after market cartridges and said I needed to use introductory cartridges provided with the printer (those are expired) does the HP Photosmart C6180 Need start up (key word -Start UP )cartridges.  Please help this prefect print may just be a paperweight.

Yes, the printer requires startup cartridges for the first initialization. The start-up cartridges are not available in the market.

 

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
