Hi @bigmarc,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP ENVY 6055e won’t print PDFs, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check for Software Updates

  • Open your HP Smart app or printer software on the computer.
  • Feel the smooth click of your mouse as you navigate to the printer settings.
  • Check for firmware or driver updates and install any available. The cool sensation of progress bars moving should confirm updates are being installed.

2. Ensure PDF Software is Updated

  • Open your PDF reader (like Adobe Acrobat Reader).
  • Feel the cool surface of your mouse as you click on "Help" in the top menu and choose "Check for Updates".
  • Follow the update prompts, and once done, restart the PDF software. You may hear the soft sound of updates completing in the background.

3. Print as Image

  • Open the problematic PDF file.
  • Feel the firm touch of the "Print" button (Ctrl + P).
  • In the Print dialog box, click "Advanced" (you might feel a smooth sliding motion of the dropdown).
  • Select "Print as Image" and hit OK. The soft sound of paper moving through the printer will indicate progress if this resolves the issue.

4. Check Printer Status

  • Ensure the HP ENVY 6055e is set as the default printer.
  • Listen for the soft hum of the printer indicating it’s online. If silent, confirm its connection by printing a simple test page from a non-PDF document.
  • The feel of paper emerging smoothly indicates it’s ready to print.

5. Clear Print Queue & Restart

  • Feel the clicks as you navigate to the "Devices and Printers" section of your computer.
  • Right-click the HP 6055e icon, choose "See what’s printing", and clear the print queue. The refreshing sound of an empty queue signals readiness.
  • Restart your computer and printer. The gentle hum as they power back up should provide relief, ensuring they are both reset for fresh PDF prints.

These steps should restore your ability to print PDFs on the HP ENVY 6055e.
