have a 6500 network printer. printer will connect to old router that supports WPA, but will not connect to new router that supports WPA2.  does the 6500 only support WPA?  the new router supports WPA2-PSK (AES)

@dlwharleyman

You should be able to connect to WPA2-PSK (AES). Are you getting any error messages?

Please download and install the printer Firmware from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-6500-all-in-one-printer-series-e709/37...

Also let me know how you are trying to connect the printer to your new Router

Keep me posted

Went to the link, but there was no firmware listed. As mentioned, printer could connect to old router, but not new router. Tried both Wizard setup, Manual setup and setting IP. Also accessed the router configuration and entered MAC address under WIFI and DEVICES. Every time I try to connect the printer, the LCD says Attempting to Connect and then after about 20 seconds the LCD says ERROR Cannot connect to Network. Also did a reset by pulling the power cord, then a reset with #3 and a reset with #6.

Try using the HP Smart App to setup the printer and let me know if that helps
