"HP 6978 error code 0x6100004a ; paper jam, improper shutdown; tried the shut down and restart in detail! Ink cartridges will not move to access them."

No, there is no paper jammed in the printer and yes I cleaned the rollers (I live in AZ, so rollers are regular cleaning maintenance).

Yes, I've seen the other reports of this error, all the way back to 2018, and nothing indicated that it was fixed. Tried various fixes listed. Have had many intermittent Internet wireless/USB errors since I've had it.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

If you have already performed the steps from the document A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778  and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
