hp deskjet 3634 no magenta

I set up a brand new hp printer that came with hp ink and all colours print except for magenta. I've tried the self cleaning and deep cleaning options and those did not resolve the issue. I also cleaned the contact pins of the cartridge and printer itself with isopropyl alcohol which yielded no difference in print quality. I also updated the firmware to the latest version which did not help. All other functions of the printer are fully operational, the only issue with this printer or cartridge (or both) is that its not printing magenta, and interesting that another HP customer had the same issue this year. Hopefully there is a fix to this, looking forward to hear from the forum. Thank you for your time!

This could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer ink system.

 

If you have already performed the steps from the document  Fixing Poor Print Quality and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer/cartridge replacement.
