Hi @beezergood

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear your HP Envy Photo 7134 is stuck on the loading screen. This can happen due to firmware glitches, interrupted updates, or internal hardware conflicts.

Since unplugging and restarting didn’t help, let’s try a few deeper steps to resolve it.

Step-by-Step Recovery for HP Envy Photo 7134 Stuck on Loading Screen

Step 1: Perform a Semi-Full Reset (Hardware Reset)

This reset can help clear out firmware issues without wiping settings.

Here’s how:

Power on the printer (even if stuck on loading screen)

Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer while it’s still on

Unplug the other end from the wall

Wait for 60 seconds

Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds (if present)

Plug the power cable back in directly to a wall outlet (not a power strip)

The printer should turn on by itself. If not, press the Power button.

If successful, the printer should bypass the stuck screen and load normally.

Step 2: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.
  • Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.
    https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Note: This only works if the printer still responds to USB or service mode input.

Step 3: Check for Screen/Panel Damage

If the screen is stuck but the printer still responds via HP Smart App or network, the issue may be isolated to the display. Try printing or scanning from HP Smart to check responsiveness.

Step 4: If none of the above steps work, the issue may be with:

A corrupted internal board

An incomplete firmware update

Or hardware failure

Which requires service or replacement options:

Let me know if the printer responds at all (lights, buttons, sound, etc.), and I’ll guide you through advanced recovery steps if needed.

If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
