i have a new printer. i have installed the cartridges that were delivered with the printer box in printer.

i have signed up for HP instant ink service. however, my account states that the installed cartridges are non-HP instant ink. As a result the HP instant ink service would not work. is this correct?

Welcome to HP Support Community,

 

Congratulations on your new HP Printer 🙂

 

As you have enrolled your printer into the Instant ink program and the ink cartridges shows as non-Instant ink. This is because the printer is not Instant ink ready printer. 

There is nothing to worry about you can go ahead and use these cartridges until you receive the new ink cartridges shipped from HP.

 

These are going to be both color and black ink cartridges (Welcome kit) which will be delivered to your shortly.

Once you receive the new set of ink cartridges, please install them and that is when your Instant ink account gets activated.
