Hi @Rachèle73,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer after performing a reset. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the printing issue.
Check Printer Connection
- USB Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.
- Wi-Fi Connection: If using wireless, ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Ethernet Connection: Verify that the Ethernet cable is connected properly if you're using a wired connection.
Reinstall the Printer Driver
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP OfficeJet Pro 7720.
- Uninstall the current drivers from your computer.
- Reinstall the drivers and set up the printer again.
Reset Print Spooler (Windows Only)
- Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows + R.
- Type services.msc and hit Enter.
- Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click, and select Restart.
- Try printing again after restarting the spooler.
Ensure Printer Is Set as Default
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 and select Set as Default Printer.
Check for Error Messages
- If the printer display shows any error messages, follow the steps to resolve them (e.g., paper jam, low ink, etc.).
Check Paper and Ink
- Ensure the printer has paper loaded correctly.
- Check ink levels to confirm the cartridges are properly installed and full.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP Support site and look for firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware might resolve certain issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
