Hi @Sanjoy4

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the situation—and I’m truly sorry your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is showing a “problem with the printer or print system” message. I appreciate the steps you’ve already taken to power reset the device.

Let’s walk through a focused recovery path to help restore full functionality.

Step-by-step recovery for “problem with the printer or print system” error

1. Perform a full power reset with cartridge isolation

  • Turn off the printer
  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet
  • Remove all ink cartridges
  • Wait for 2 minutes
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer without cartridges
  • Wait until the display shows “Missing cartridges”
  • Reinsert the cartridges one at a time
  • This helps reinitialize the print system and detect any cartridge-related faults

2. Check for firmware updates via USB

  • Visit the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e driver page
  • Download the latest firmware update utility
  • Connect the printer to your computer via USB
  • Run the updater and follow the on-screen instructions
  • Restart the printer after update completes

3. Reset internal settings via control panel

  • On the printer touchscreen:
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Settings > Restore Factory Defaults
    • Confirm and allow the printer to restart
  • This clears any persistent system-level errors

4. Reinstall the printer driver and app

  • Remove the printer from your computer:
    • On Windows: Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
    • On macOS: System Settings > Printers & Scanners
  • Restart your computer
  • Download and install the latest Full Feature Software and Driver from the link above
  • Reconnect the printer using the HP App

5. Print a diagnostic page

  • On the printer control panel:
    • Go to Settings > Reports > Print Quality Report
    • This helps confirm whether the print system is functioning internally

Let me know how the printer responds after these steps. If the error persists, we can explore deeper recovery paths or alternate print modes. You’ve done everything right by staying observant—I’ll be here to guide you further.
