I have been having issues with my OfficeJet. It makes lines in anything that I print in blue or green ink. I cannot get it fixed. I have cleaned the print head multiple times. Reset the printer. Then it said to do a cold reset and now it wont even let me finish the set up and print from the printer

@MWagley, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're facing issues with your HP OfficeJet printer, specifically, blue or green ink prints with lines, and now setup problems after a cold reset. Let's work through this step-by-step to get your printer back in working order.
Step 1: Fixing Print Quality Issues (Lines in Blue/Green Ink)
Lines or streaks in color prints are often caused by clogged printheads, incorrect paper, or misalignment. Here's what you can do:
Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges
Non-HP or refilled cartridges can cause print quality issues. Verify your cartridges here: HP anti-counterfeit | HP® Official Site
Check the Paper Type
Use high-quality paper like HP Advanced Photo Paper or ColorLok paper. Avoid curled or wrinkled sheets.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
This helps identify which colors are affected.
Clean the Printheads Thoroughly
Use the printer software or control panel to run multiple cleaning cycles. If streaks persist, try intermediate or advanced cleaning.
Align the Printheads
Misalignment can cause color distortion. Use the printer’s toolbox or control panel to align.
Inspect Ink Tubes (if applicable)
If your model has visible ink tubes, ensure they’re not kinked or misbundled.
Step 2: Resolving Setup Issues After Cold Reset
If the printer won’t complete setup after a cold reset, follow these steps:
Ensure Setup Cartridges Are Installed
HP printers require setup cartridges during initial setup. If replaced prematurely, setup may fail.
Restore Factory Defaults via Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Find your printer’s IP address (usually printed on a network configuration page).
- Enter it in a browser to open EWS.
- Navigate to Settings > Restore Defaults > Restore Factory Defaults.
- The printer will restart automatically.
Update the HP Smart App
Download the latest version from 123.hp.com and retry setup.
Remove and Re-add Printer in HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart. HP Smart
- Remove the printer from the app.
- Restart the printer.
- Re-add it and follow setup instructions
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
