Hi @ISOOJOE1 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 Color Printer is stuck in a continuous calibration loop, here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:
1. Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check if the calibration completes after the restart.
2. Update the Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Outdated firmware can cause issues like endless calibration.
- Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
- Download the latest firmware for your printer and follow the installation instructions.
3. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults
- Press the Setup button (the wrench icon) on the printer’s control panel.
- Navigate to Service or System Setup, depending on the model.
- Select Restore Defaults and confirm the reset.
- After resetting, the printer should stop the endless calibration and work properly.
4. Check the Toner Cartridges
- Sometimes, a faulty or improperly seated toner cartridge can cause endless calibration.
- Open the printer and remove all toner cartridges.
- Check for any damage or toner leaks, then reinsert them properly.
- Try replacing any cartridge that appears faulty or empty.
5. Ensure Paper Type Settings are Correct
- Incorrect paper settings can sometimes cause calibration issues.
- On the printer, go to Settings > Paper Handling.
- Ensure the paper type and size match what is loaded in the tray.
6. Reinstall the Printer Driver
- Uninstall the printer from your computer.
- Download and install the latest drivers from HP’s website for your operating system.
- This can resolve any communication issues that could be causing the endless calibration.
7. Clean the Printer Sensors
- If there's dust or toner particles on the sensors inside the printer, calibration may not complete.
- Carefully clean the sensors using a soft cloth or compressed air.

I hope this helps.
