I need help with my printer please! 
I just recently purchase an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2676 and already downloaded the HP Smart App.

While I was setting up the printer on the HP Smart app on my computer I click on the security and it prompted me to set up a security password which I have accidentally submitted and forgotten the Password...

now my HP printer is offline and not connected to the wifi and I cant access the setting of the printed because it was always asking for the custom password that I have created and forgotten...

Is there a way to reset the password or bypass it so that I can change the set up of the printer security password because I cant do anything with the printer it wont print and scan nothing at all..

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Restore network settings to reset the EWS password.

Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

Hi thanks for the reply however it still didnt work I have already followed the step that you have given but it is still looking for the custom password

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
