@Daryl41, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If the cyan ink does not print and the test pages are coming out blank, follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

Check Ink Levels and Refill Ink Tanks

  1. Check the ink levels: Ensure the cyan ink tank is not low on ink. On the printer's Home screen, navigate to Menu > Ink levels.
  2. Refill the cyan ink tank: If the ink level is low, refill the cyan ink tank with genuine HP ink.

Inspect the Print Settings and Quality of the File

  1. Paper Type and Condition: Use paper that's suitable for the print job. HP recommends paper with ColorLok technology for documents with graphics.
  2. Print Job Settings: Verify the settings by clicking File > Print, and checking Options, Printer Setup, or Preferences. Ensure color settings are correct.

Clean the Printheads

If there are any defects on Test Pattern 2, clean the printheads:

  • Access the cleaning option through Menu > Tools > Clean Printhead.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

To evaluate the quality:

  1. On the Home screen, go to Menu > Tools > Troubleshooting > Print Quality.
  2. Print the diagnostic page and review for any defects.

Align the Printheads

Perform alignment of the printheads to rectify any misaligned colors:

  • From Menu, navigate to Tools and select Align Printhead.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
