If your HP DeskJet 2755e printer is not printing after installing a new ink cartridge, there are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Verify Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the ink cartridges are securely in place.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look at the printer's front panel or your computer screen for any error messages. These messages can guide you on what might be wrong with the ink cartridge.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • Remove the ink cartridge and check the electrical contacts. If they are dirty, gently clean them with a dry, lint-free cloth. Make sure the copper-colored contacts are clean and free of dust or debris.

Reset the Printer:

  • Try resetting the printer by turning it off, disconnecting the power cord from the printer, and waiting for at least 60 seconds. Then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Align Ink Cartridges:

  • Sometimes newly installed ink cartridges need to be aligned with the printer to ensure optimal print quality. Go to the printer settings, find the maintenance section, and select “Align Ink Cartridges.”

Print a Test Page:

  • Try to print a test page to check if the printer is functioning correctly. A test page can help determine if there is an issue with the ink cartridge alignment or the printer itself.
