Hi @Ottilie1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check Ink Cartridges
Ensure the cartridges are installed correctly and that the protective tape has been removed. Use genuine HP cartridges, as third-party inks may not be recognized properly. If the cartridges are low or empty, replace them.

Run Printhead Cleaning
Open the printer settings and navigate to Printer Maintenance → Clean Printhead. Run the cleaning cycle and then try printing. If the issue persists, repeat the process up to three times.

Print a Test Page
Go to Setup → Reports → Print Quality Report and check if any ink appears on the page. If the test page is blank, the printhead may be clogged or malfunctioning.

Reset the Printer
Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about one minute. Plug it back in, turn it on, and try printing again.

Perform a Printhead Alignment
Go to Settings → Printer Maintenance → Align Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions. Misaligned printheads can cause printing issues.

Update Printer Firmware
Visit the HP Support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware update. Install it and restart the printer.

Hard Reset the Printer
Turn off the printer and unplug it from power. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This resets internal components.

Check for Clogged Printheads (Manual Cleaning)
Remove the ink cartridges and, if possible, the printhead. Use a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water to gently clean the nozzles. Let them dry completely before reinstalling them. Run a test print after reassembly.

If the issue persists, the printhead may need replacement.
