Hi @TDenise,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code OX6100004A along with the message about a stuck ink cartridge typically indicates an issue with the cartridges or the print mechanism in your HP printer. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue.
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check the Cartridges
- Open the printer access door to reach the ink cartridges.
- Gently remove the cartridges and inspect them for any damage or blockage.
- Check for any protective tape that may still be on the cartridges. If present, remove it.
- Reinstall the cartridges carefully, ensuring they click into place.
Clean the Cartridges
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the gold contacts on the cartridges.
- Also, clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges connect.
Check for Blockages
- Even if there’s no paper jam, make sure there are no foreign objects (like pieces of paper or debris) blocking the cartridge path.
- Move the print head gently back and forth to ensure it moves freely.
Reset the Printer
- After making the above checks, perform a hard reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord and USB (if applicable).
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord, and turn the printer back on.
Update Printer Firmware
- Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause issues. Check the HP website for any available updates for your printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
