@cyrusgheewala,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The flashing lights on your HP DeskJet 4155e printer can indicate different issues depending on the pattern and color. Here are some common meanings.

Power Light (White/Amber) Flashing

  • If slowly blinking → Printer is in sleep mode (normal).
  • If rapidly blinking → Error state (check for paper jams, ink issues, or connectivity problems).

Resume Light (Orange) Flashing

  • Paper issue → No paper, paper jam, or incorrect paper size.
  • Check → Reload paper and make sure there’s no jam.

Ink Cartridge Light Flashing

  • One or both ink cartridges are low, empty, or missing.
  • Solution → Open the printer, reseat the cartridges, or replace them if needed.

WiFi Light Flashing

  • Slow blinking → Printer is connecting to WiFi.
  • Fast blinking → Printer disconnected from the network.
  • Solution → Restart the router and reconnect the printer via HP Smart App.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
