@Murz, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're seeing random lines when printing an Excel spreadsheet. This issue is often related to printhead problems, driver issues, or formatting in the Excel file. Let’s go through some steps to resolve it:

Check for Printhead Issues

Lines or streaks are commonly caused by clogged or misaligned printheads.

Run the Printhead Cleaning Utility:

  • On your printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
  • Alternatively, you can do this from your computer via the HP Smart App or HP Printer Assistant.

Print a Diagnostic Page:

Check Ink or Toner Levels

Low or dried-up cartridges can cause print quality issues.

  • Replace any low or empty cartridges.
  • Make sure cartridges are genuine HP products for best results.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause formatting issues when printing from Excel.

  • Visit the official HP support site: Official HP® Support
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers.

Check Excel Formatting

Sometimes, gridlines or borders in Excel may appear as lines when printed.

  • Go to File > Print > Print Preview and check if the lines appear there.
  • Try printing a different document (like a Word file or PDF) to see if the issue is specific to Excel.

Try a Different Application

Print the same Excel file as a PDF:

  • Save the Excel sheet as a PDF and print it.
  • If the lines disappear, the issue may be with Excel’s print settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
