Hi @ilir2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When experiencing printing issues with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M26a on Windows 11, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB cable or network connection. If using a network connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting both the printer and your computer can resolve communication issues and temporarily resolve printing problems.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 11 computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website specifically for your printer model.

Check Print Queue: Check the print queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs. Cancel any stuck or pending print jobs, as they can sometimes cause delays in printing.

Printer Troubleshooter: Windows 11 includes a built-in printer troubleshooter that can automatically detect and fix common printing problems. You can access it by going to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Printer > Run the troubleshooter.

Disable Bi-Directional Support: Sometimes, disabling bi-directional support in the printer properties can improve printing performance. To do this, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, select Printer Properties, go to the Ports tab, and uncheck the "Enable bidirectional support" option.

Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 11 computer is up-to-date with the latest system updates. Sometimes, installing Windows updates can resolve compatibility issues with printers.

Reset Printer Spooler: Resetting the print spooler service on your computer can sometimes resolve printing issues. You can do this by opening the Run dialog (Win + R), typing "services.msc", finding the Print Spooler service, right-clicking it, and selecting Restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
