Hi @labottome-64 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer is not fully booting up even after multiple power cycles, here are steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Basic Troubleshooting

Disconnect and Reconnect Power:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 5 minutes.
  • Plug the cord back into a direct wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or extension cords).
  • Turn on the printer and check if it boots up.

Check for Error Messages or Flashing LEDs:

  • Observe the display or LED lights for any specific error codes or blinking patterns.
  • Let me know if you see anything specific.

Reset the Printer

Partial Reset:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • While the printer is off, press and hold the “#” and “3” buttons.
  • Reconnect the power cord while holding the buttons.
  • Release the buttons when the printer turns on and displays a reset message.

Full Reset:

  • Repeat the steps above but hold “#” and “6” instead.

Check for Firmware Issues

  1. Reinstall Firmware via USB (if the printer partially boots up):
    • Download the latest firmware for your printer from the HP Support website.
    • Follow the instructions to install it using a USB connection.

If the Printer Fails to Boot Completely

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • If accessible, navigate to the Setup MenuPrinter MaintenanceRestore Factory Settings.
  • Confirm and wait for the printer to restart.

Hardware Check:

  • Ensure the printhead and cartridges are properly installed.
  • Disconnect and inspect for any debris or obstructions inside the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
