Hi @Rogue808

If your HP ENVY Photo 7800 printer has stopped printing in color and no error messages are displayed, you can follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Print Settings

Make sure that the print job settings are set to color printing:

  • Open the document you wish to print and go to the print settings.
  • Ensure that the color printing option is selected instead of grayscale or black-and-white.
  • Check the print quality settings and confirm that they are adjusted to a higher quality, which can often improve color output.

2. Clean the Ink Cartridges

The printhead might be clogged, affecting the color output:

  • On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard.
  • Go to the Setup icon, then swipe up and select Printer Maintenance.
  • Touch Clean Cartridges and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cleaning.

3. Check Ink Levels

Verify that your ink cartridges have enough ink and are working properly:

  • On the printer's control panel, tap the Ink icon to check the ink levels.
  • Replace any cartridges that are low or empty with genuine HP ink cartridges if needed.

4. Align the Ink Cartridges

Proper alignment ensures that ink cartridges are positioned correctly:

  • Access Printer Maintenance from the Setup menu on the printer's control panel.
  • Touch Align Cartridges and follow the instructions provided by the printer.

5. Use the Correct Paper

Different types of papers absorb ink differently:

  • Ensure you are using the recommended paper type for your print job.
  • If necessary, reload the printer with the correct paper.

6. Reset the Printer

Resetting the printer can often clear any temporary glitches:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on again.
