Press the Cancel button
If the Cancel button on the control panel is lit, press it and wait until the printer is silent.

Turn off the printer
Disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Open the cartridge access door
Open the door to access the carriage inside the printer.

Examples of printer door locations

Check for obstructions
Gently slide the carriage side to side to ensure it is not obstructed. Look for and remove any obstructions such as crumpled paper or dislodged labels. Do not tilt an ink tank printer as ink might spill.

Ensure the carriage latch is locked
If the carriage has a latch, gently press it down to make sure it is locked into place. Do not press down if the carriage latch of an ink tank printer is secured.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
