Hi @AnnaMac123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you encounter a message like B84134B2 and blinking lights on your HP printer, it typically indicates a hardware issue or error that might not be resolved simply by rebooting. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue:

1. Reboot the Printer

  • Power Cycle:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Unplug it from the power source.
    3. Wait for about 60 seconds.
    4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • This step can sometimes reset minor errors and clear temporary issues.

2. Check the Error Code

  • HP Support: Look up the error code B84134B2 on the HP Support website. HP’s support site often provides specific guidance based on error codes.
  • Manuals and Guides: Refer to your printer’s user manual or online guides for information about the error code and recommended troubleshooting steps.

3. Check for Hardware Issues

  • Paper Jam: Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged.
  • Connections: Verify that all cables and connections are secure.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Factory Reset: If rebooting doesn’t resolve the issue, you might need to perform a factory reset. This process varies by model, so consult your printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Firmware Update: If possible, check for any firmware updates on the HP website. Sometimes updating the printer's firmware can resolve persistent errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
