Hi @aprilmj,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

This is a common issue on Windows 11 with HP printers and usually relates to driver settings or print spooler behavior. Even if you select multiple copies, the printer only outputs one because the collation or copy setting isn’t being passed correctly.

Here’s how to fix it:

Step 1: Check Printer Driver Settings

  1. Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP printer → Printer Properties.
  3. Under the Advanced tab, ensure:
    • Enable advanced printing features is checked.
    • Spooling is set to start printing after the last page is spooled.

Step 2: Verify Collation and Copies

  • When printing:
    • In the Print dialog, make sure Collate is checked.
    • Set the number of copies again.
  • If using the HP app or another app, try printing from Word or a PDF viewer to confirm if the issue persists.

Step 3: Update HP Driver

Step 4: Clear Print Spooler

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc.
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.

Step 5: Test with “Print Directly to Printer”

  • In Printer Properties → Advanced, select Print directly to printer.
  • This bypasses the spooler and often fixes copy issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
