MY HP Smart Tank 7602 won't power up.  I made sure it was plugged in, I can hear the on button click, but no power.  It could be a power supply, but I don't know.  I place the order for it on February 10, 2025, it has to still be under warranty.  How do I get my money or new printer?

Hi @Mark1085A,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m really sorry to hear your HP Smart Tank 7602 won’t power on, especially after just a few months of use. It’s incredibly frustrating when a new device fails, and I completely understand your concern about getting it replaced under warranty.

Let’s walk through what you can do next:

Troubleshooting Steps (If You Haven’t Already Tried These)

  1. Check the Power Source
    • Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
    • Try a different outlet and power cable if available.

  2. yHard Reset
    • Unplug the printer.
    • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
    • Plug it back in and try turning it on again.

  3. Check for Signs of Life
    • If you hear a click or see a faint light, the issue may be with the power supply board or firmware.

If none of these work, it’s likely a hardware failure, and since you purchased it on February 10, 2025, your printer is still under HP’s standard 1-year warranty.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
