Hi @assar1123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is showing as "offline," there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to bring it back online. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you resolve this issue:

1. Check Printer Connections

  • Power: Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to a power source. Check the power cable for any loose connections.
  • Network Connection:
    • Wired Connection: If your printer is connected via Ethernet, make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the router.
    • Wireless Connection: Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it’s a wireless printer, make sure it’s within range of your router.

2. Verify Printer Status

  • On Printer: Check the printer’s display or control panel for any error messages or warnings.
  • Print Queue: Ensure there are no jobs stuck in the print queue. You can check this from your computer.

3. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Computer: Restart your computer to reset any network connections.
  • Router: Restart your router to refresh the network connection.

4. Check Printer Settings on Computer

Windows:

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Select your printer from the list and click Manage.
  3. Click Printer properties.
  4. Ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.
  5. If necessary, click Print Test Page to see if the printer responds.

5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Windows:

  1. Go to Device Manager.
  2. Expand Printers or Print queues.
  3. Right-click on your printer and select Update driver.
  4. Follow the prompts to search for updated drivers.

6. Check for Network Issues

  • Ping the Printer: If you’re using a network printer, you can try pinging the printer’s IP address from your computer’s command prompt or terminal to ensure it’s reachable.
    • Windows: Open Command Prompt and type ping [IP address] (e.g., ping 192.168.1.100).
    • Mac: Open Terminal and type ping [IP address].

7. Reconfigure Wireless Settings

  • Reconfigure Wi-Fi: If your printer is wireless, you may need to reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Reset Network Settings: Some printers have an option to reset network settings. Check your printer’s menu for network setup or reset options

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
