In general, the printer is not aware of what it is printing.
The result is perhaps due to:
- A setting in the app or program you are using to print
- An error in the print setup - Try a printer Reset / Restart > Unplug printer for 1 minute > Plug into wall socket > Wait for printer to boot > Try job again
- An error in Scale >> this is similar to an error in the print job setup but might be missed if you are printing from your browser. Check Browser print Settings. Make sure scale is not set to "0"
For example,
HP Smart - Windows - Simple Photo Print - Photo Size
It is possible to select the Photo Size --
If the Paper Size is large and the selected Photo Size is small, the photo will appear smaller
