Hi @jennatierno,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be an issue with the connection between your printer and your HP account. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Verify Your HP Account Credentials: Double-check that you are using the correct username and password to log into your HP account. Sometimes, small typos can cause login issues.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause connectivity problems and errors with HP accounts.
  • Check Network Connection: Make sure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or device that you're using to log into your HP account. A stable internet connection is necessary for syncing your printer with your HP account.
  • Re-Authenticate the Printer: Try removing your printer from your HP account and then re-adding it. This can refresh the connection and resolve any authentication issues. You can usually do this through the HP Smart app or the printer's settings menu.

Remember to keep your printer and related software updated regularly to prevent such issues in the future.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
