Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We hooked up my husbands HP laptop to our system (windows 11) and now my windows 10 pc will not print.  I always get an error message.

We can print from out phones.

Do I have to upgrade my pc to 11?

I have taken all the normal steps of plugging and unplugging computer and printer

I have not updated the driver

I assume the PC has a network connection to the modem or router.

If the printer works from your phone but not from the computer then you must be using Wi-fi direct on your smartphone.

Get a printer report to find the name of the printers network and the password.  Then watch this video to connect the PC using Wi-fi direct

Typical printer report looks like this.

Here is the important stuff from a typical printer report. The password shown in Wi-Fi can be the printers PIN or the modem's password depending on how you connected (if at all) to the modem. The printer can have two bands but the only one that is connected will show up.
