I placed my printer on an uneven surface for a specific reason and didn’t touch it for 2-4 weeks. When I checked it again, I found that the ink had leaked, and about 50% of the ink was gone. All the colored ink, except for black, was completely empty. When I tried to use the printer again, the print quality was poor, with ink smudges and stains on the paper instead of clean prints. Do I need to open the printer and clean the leaked ink residue? What else should I do to ensure the printer can be used accurately again?

If all the ink leaked out it has likely saturated the ink absorbers and if that is the case you would need to replace them.
