Hi @Chhull0000

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm really sorry your printer keeps showing as unavailable—it’s incredibly frustrating when it never seems ready, even when everything looks fine.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help restore a stable connection and get your printer back to printing smoothly.

Try these steps to resolve the “Printer Unavailable” issue:

1. Power cycle the printer and router

This clears network memory and resets the connection.

  • Turn off the printer
  • Unplug your Wi-Fi router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in
  • Wait until the router is fully online
  • Turn the printer back on and wait for it to reconnect

2. Check printer connection status

Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Wireless Settings > Network Summary
  • Confirm the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi
  • If not, go to Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect

3. Use the HP App to reconnect

This helps re-establish communication between your device and the printer.

  • Download or open the HP App
  • Select your printer
  • If it shows as offline or unavailable, tap Reconnect or Add Printer
  • Follow the prompts to re-establish the connection

4. Set the printer as default

Windows may be sending jobs to a different device.

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  • Select your printer > Set as default
  • Try printing a test page

5. Run Diagnose & Fix

This tool can automatically detect and resolve connection issues.

  • Open the HP App
  • Go to Support > Diagnose & Fix
  • Follow the prompts while the printer is powered on and connected

Let me know your printer model and whether it’s connected via Wi-Fi or USB. Once the connection is refreshed and the printer is set as default, it should respond instantly and stay ready for your print jobs.
