Hi @kennyva,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the password for the web interface of your HP OfficeJet 8010, you can usually regain access by performing a factory reset of the printer. This will reset the printer's settings, including the web interface password, to the default values. Here’s how you can do that:

1. Perform a Factory Reset

Using the Printer’s Control Panel:

Turn On the Printer:

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on.

Access the Printer's Menu:

  • On the printer’s control panel, tap the “Setup” icon (usually represented by a wrench or gear).

Navigate to Printer Maintenance:

  • Use the arrow keys or touch screen to find and select “Printer Maintenance” or “Service”.

Select Factory Reset:

  • Look for an option labeled “Restore Defaults”, “Factory Reset”, or “Reset” and select it.
  • Confirm the action if prompted.

Wait for the Reset:

  • The printer will reboot and restore factory settings. This process might take a few minutes.

Using the Web Interface (If Accessible):

Access the Printer's Web Interface:

  • Open a web browser and enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar (you can usually find the IP address on the printer’s display under network settings).

Log In:

  • If you’ve forgotten the password, you might need to perform a factory reset from the printer’s control panel instead, as accessing the web interface requires the current password.

2. Reconfigure the Printer

Reconnect to the Network:

  • After the reset, you'll need to reconnect your printer to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the initial setup process either via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.

Set Up the Web Interface Password:

  • Once reconnected, you can access the printer’s web interface using the default password (often blank or "admin" depending on the model).

Change the Password:

  • Access the web interface and navigate to the settings where you can set a new password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
