Hi @mzmirza,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 6500A Plus printer is showing an “Ink System Failure” with error code 0xC19A0020. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

    a. Power Cycle the Printer
      • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
      • Wait for 30–60 seconds and plug it back in.
      • Turn the printer on and check if the error persists.

    b. Check Ink Cartridges
      • Open the ink cartridge access door.
      • Remove all cartridges and inspect for:
        – Protective tape that may still be on new cartridges.
        – Damaged or leaking cartridges.
      • Reinsert cartridges firmly until they click into place.

    c. Clean Cartridge Contacts
      • Power off the printer.
      • Remove cartridges and gently clean gold contacts on both cartridges and printer with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
      • Let dry completely and reinstall cartridges.

    d. Reset the Printer
      • With the printer powered on, press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds.
      • Some models require pressing Cancel + Resume + Power together for a full reset (check your manual).

I hope this helps.
