Hi @bigt81,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw is only printing the left half of the page, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there's no paper jam or obstruction inside the printer that could be affecting print output.
  • Inspect the Toner Cartridge: Remove and reinstall the toner cartridge to make sure it's properly seated. Check for any signs of damage or leakage.
  • Check Printer Settings: Verify that the printer settings are correct. Make sure you're not using any custom print settings that could cause only part of the page to print.
  • Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website, download the latest drivers for your model, and install them.
  • Print a Test Page: From the printer’s control panel or printer properties on your computer, print a test page to see if the issue persists.
  • Check Printer Firmware: Ensure the printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates on the HP website.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Clean the Printer: Perform a cleaning cycle to ensure there are no obstructions or dirt affecting the print quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
