my 4152 deskjet plus has an orange light near the power button, and in the middle of print jobs it stops working and all of the lights start blinking and it has a big E and small E. I have reset it a few times and the lights stop blinking but the orange light is still on,

Hi @ym271, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The orange light near the power button and the E and e error on your HP DeskJet Plus 4152 indicate a printer error, often related to paper jams, ink issues, or a carriage stall.
Since you’ve reset it and the blinking lights stopped but the orange light remains on, follow these steps:
Step 1: Check for Paper Jams
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and check for any stuck paper.
- Remove any jammed paper gently (do not force it).
- Close the door and plug the printer back in.
Step 2: Check Ink Cartridges
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Remove both cartridges, then reinsert them firmly.
- If the error persists, try replacing the ink cartridges if they are low or faulty.
Step 3: Check the Carriage Movement
- With the printer turned off, open the cartridge door.
- Manually move the carriage (where the ink cartridges sit) left and right gently.
- If it’s stuck, clear any obstruction and restart the printer.
Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the printer while it is ON.
- Wait 60 seconds and plug it back in.
- Turn it on and try printing.
Step 5: Check for Firmware Updates
- Open HP Smart or HP Support Assistant.
- Check for and install firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
