Hi @ree123454,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet MFP M140w is displaying a "paper blocked" message with no visible jams, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check for Paper Jams Again:
- Inspect the printer thoroughly for any small pieces of paper that may be stuck, even in areas that aren't immediately visible, like inside the printer or around the rollers.
2. Remove and Reinsert Paper:
- Take all the paper out of the tray, and then:
- Check that it’s not wrinkled or curled.
- Reload the paper into the tray properly, ensuring it’s aligned correctly with the guides.
3. Check Printer Settings:
- Make sure that the correct paper size is selected in the printer settings on your computer.
4. Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.
5. Clear the Print Queue:
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any stuck print jobs that may be causing issues.
6. Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP Support website. Updating firmware can sometimes resolve issues.
7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printing issues.
8. Inspect the Paper Rollers:
- Check the paper feed rollers for any wear or debris. Clean them gently with a lint-free cloth.
9. Factory Reset:
- If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Check the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
