Pdf files no longer print correctly. I have tried with two different pdf apps, with pdfs from different sources (IRS forms, reports generated by my employer, etc.) The letters look like an outline of the font. This is even more pronounced with bold fonts.

When I save a pdf as an image and print it, it is legible, but not clear enough to avoid eye strain. At any rate, converting every pdf I want to print into an image file isn't a long-term solution.

I have the latest drivers installed. The printer is able to print Word documents with no problems. I have done HP troubleshooting, no problems were found. I tried some online suggestions, like clearing the print spool, nothing helps.

Would appreciate any suggestions anyone can give.
