Hi @TW333,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7855 is failing to print photo jobs while other print jobs work fine. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to fix this.

Check Print Settings
○ When printing photos, make sure the Paper Type and Media Type are set correctly in the printer dialog (e.g., Photo Paper, Glossy).
○ Ensure Print Quality is set to Best or High Quality instead of Draft.

Update Printer Drivers
○ Outdated or corrupted drivers can prevent photo jobs from printing.
○ Download and install the latest full feature driver from HP Support for your printer and operating system.

Check Paper and Tray
○ Make sure you are using compatible photo paper and that it’s loaded correctly in the tray.
○ Avoid mixing photo paper with plain paper in the same tray.

Check Ink Levels
○ Open HP Smart App or printer control panel to verify all cartridges have sufficient ink, especially color cartridges.
○ Replace any low or empty cartridges.

Print a Photo Test Page
○ From the printer menu or HP Smart App, print a photo test page to see if the printer hardware can handle photo jobs.

Use HP Smart or Different Software
○ Sometimes the software sending the photo job can cause failures.
○ Try printing the photo from the HP Smart App or another program to rule out software issues.

Perform a Printer Reset
○ Power off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
○ This can clear any stuck print jobs or temporary errors.

I hope this helps.
