I have the same problem as someone else.  I can't get pictures to print.  The paper is in the photo slot, but the printer continues to tell me to load paper.  I tried it in the paper slot too.  That didn't work either.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if you are able to print?

 

What type and size of photo paper are you using?

Check the product specifications if the papers are compatible with this printer.

 

Make sure the photo papers are correctly loaded in the input tray as shown in this document - Loading Paper, Envelopes, and Index Cards

 

Update the printer firmware

Go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Well, I dug a little deeper.  Please ignore my previous message.  Here are the answers:

I have no problem printing documents.  The problem is pictures.  I've tried HP paper that came with my printer and I've tried other brands.  Nothing works in the picture slot or the paper slot adjusted to the photo paper size.  This is not a new problem because of updates.  I have NEVER been able to print pictures from this printer.  

 

Do you have other suggestions?

That's unfortunate. If you have tried the steps mentioned in my previous post and the issue persists, I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.
