hi, just got new hp 7740 today. After connecting the power cable, i noticed a light is on inside but the power button is non-responsive. Thus the printer never came on and is not initialised as of yet.
Checked power voltage and outlet, all is fine as there was a previous printer connected in same outlet. Tried printer in a different outlet, same problem, non-responsive power button.
is the power button faulty?

@vics12, Welcome to HP Support Community!
The power module on the printer might be defective. If you have already performed the steps from the document Printer Does Not Turn On and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer or you can also check with the point of purchase for a replacement.
Hope this helps!
