MY hp 6510 will not print black. I have tried 3 new hp cartridges  ,updated drivers software etc.. but it still wont print black.  Before I did the updates it would not even recognize the new cartridges , but now that's the only thing that happens. It wont print black  on the tests either. I got nowhere with the virtual help

@joe2680

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you able to make copies from the printer?
  • Are you printing from your phone or computer?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-6510-e-all-in-one-printer-series-b211/5058334/mod... refer to Step 4: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly vented and seated correctly

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
