Hi @atul141,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Since you've already confirmed that the power adapter works with another printer, and the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2520hc still doesn't power on, it's very likely that the issue lies with:

Possible Causes

  1. Damaged Power Cord or Connector Pin
    • Even if the adapter works, the cord tip or the printer’s power port might be damaged or loose.
  2. Internal Power Circuit Failure
    • A failed power board, fuse, or mainboard inside the printer can prevent it from powering on.
  3. Firmware Lock or Crash
    • Rare, but a corrupted firmware can cause the printer to appear completely dead.

What You Can Try Next

1. Inspect the Power Port

  • Use a flashlight to check the DC-in port on the printer.
  • Look for bent pins, burn marks, or a loose fit when plugging in the adapter.

2. Try a Different Wall Outlet

  • Just to rule out power delivery issues.

3. Bypass Power Strip or Surge Protector

  • Plug the adapter directly into the wall. Some surge protectors can block power if faulty.

4. Try a Known-Good Power Cord

  • Even if the adapter works, the cord itself might be damaged internally.
  • If you have another HP printer with a compatible cord, try swapping just the cord.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
