Hi @chanaka6069,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing persistent issues with the black printer head on your HP 515 printer despite replacing both the printer head and the printer head carrier, there could be a few possible reasons for this problem.

  • Connection Issues: Ensure that the printer head is properly installed and that all connections are secure. Sometimes loose connections or improper seating of the printer head can cause detection errors.
  • Firmware or Software Issues: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues with new printer heads or components.
  • Electrical Issues: Faulty power supply or inconsistent electrical current can affect the printer's ability to detect and communicate with printer heads properly.
  • Sensor Issues: There might be issues with the sensors responsible for detecting the printer head. If these sensors are malfunctioning, they might incorrectly report that the printer head is not detected.
  • Internal Components: There could be issues with other internal components related to the printer head assembly that are causing detection problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
