It sounds like there’s an issue with your HP account that’s preventing the printer from functioning correctly. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Your HP Account Status:

  • Go to the HP Account website and log in.
  • Ensure there are no issues such as an expired or locked account.
  • Check for any notifications or prompts regarding your account (e.g., need for verification or payment).

Verify Subscription or Service Status:

  • If you are using an HP Instant Ink or other subscription-based service, make sure your subscription is active and not expired.
  • You may need to renew or resolve any billing issues.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected properly to the network (Wi-Fi or wired).
  • If your printer is connected to a cloud service (like HP ePrint), verify that the printer is correctly linked to your account.

HP Smart App Issues:

  • If you are using the HP Smart App, try logging out and logging back in. You can also uninstall and reinstall the app to reset the connection.
  • Ensure your app is up to date.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes an outdated firmware version can cause problems. Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date by checking the HP website or through the printer settings.

Check for Printer Errors:

  • Look at the printer’s display for any error messages or warning signs. Sometimes the issue could be related to a print queue or connectivity issue.

Restart Everything:

  • Power cycle your printer and computer. Sometimes a simple restart of all devices can resolve these types of issues.
