Envy 4524 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Can anyone please help.  I recently used my HP Envy 4524 all in one printer and it printed fine then 10 minutes later when I went to print something else the message 'IMPROPER SHUTDOWN' appeared so I pressed OK then a further message appeared ' SERVICE STATION STALLED.  I have tried all of the suggested fixes but nothing seems to work.  I have not had any recent windows updates and all my drivers etc are up to date. Can any one else suggest any fixes or explain why this has happened.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Thanks for reply however this did not work but I now think it was something to do with the latest Windows 10 download as now I have updated my computer the printer is now working.
