Product: office jet pro 8600
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I connected my printer to new wireless, it was accepted to the network  Now there is a mesage saying XXX printer failure... There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off, then on, if problem persists, contact HP.  I have done that several times.  I just installed brand new cartriges.  Thanks in advance

If you insert your old ink, do you still get the error message?

 

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168
